You shall have the right to seek and secure restitution from the defendant if that person is convicted.
Restitution may include but is not limited to:
• The replacement or repair cost of stolen or damaged property
• Funeral expenses; ambulance or hospital bills
• Counseling and therapy expenses
• Relocation expenses
• Lost wages for the time spent assisting the police or prosecution.
To obtain restitution, the victim must provide the necessary documentation to support the claim, such as copies of bills and receipts for crime-related expenses.
